I am an assistant professor at the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and a research group leader at the International Institute of Physics (IIP) in Natal. I work on theoretical condensed matter physics. In my research I apply analytical methods of quantum field theory to study quantum materials. In particular, I am interested in problems related to strong correlations and quantum magnetism in low dimensions.
I am a member of the Quantum Information and Quantum Matter Group at IIP.
