New AdS3 solutions and holography: From Hanany-Witten Setups to Supersymmetric AdS3 solutions
The AdS3/CFT2 correspondence offers a unique window into holography, thanks to the tractability of two-dimensional conformal field theories and the relatively well-understood string dynamics in AdS3 backgrounds. In this talk, I will begin with a pedagogical introduction to Hanany-Witten brane setups and their role in engineering supersymmetric quantum field theories. We will then explore how these configurations inspire the construction of holographic duals in string theory and supergravity.
The second part of the talk will focus on new supersymmetric AdS3 solutions in massive type IIA supergravity, which realize the superconformal algebra osp(6|2). In particular, these backgrounds preserve N=(0,6) supersymmetry and feature internal geometries with a complex projective structure reminiscent of ABJM/ABJ. These similarities suggest possible dual CFT interpretations. Time permitting, I will also discuss N=(0,2) AdS3 solutions obtained as deformations of the N=(0,6) case, highlighting the rich interplay between geometry, brane setups, and supersymmetry in the AdS3 landscape.
