Quantum certification of many-body quantum simulations

A major roadblock for large-scale quantum technologies is the lack of experimentally-firendly reliable certification tools. The ultimate challenge consists of making sure that classically intractable quantum machines work correctly. The field of many-body quantum certification aims at providing solutions to this problem by exploiting quantum resources. In this seminar, I will first make a brief general review of basic tools for quantum-state certification and interactive certification schemes for universal quantum computation. Then, I will move to the certification of non-universal quantum devices, where I will focus on recent results for the efficient certification of broad families of many-body (photonic and fermionic) quantum simulations.
