Post-doc program to Brazilian Professors

IIP-UFRN

The IIP has opened registrations to a new post-doctoral program exclusive to Brazilian professors. The proposal offers a more flexible modality to physicists who already have a position in a public educational institution in Brazil and who wish to strengthen their academic curriculum.

The Institute is offering five research scholarships for 2017, with a monthly payment of R$ 4.100,00 (complementary to the teacher salary) during a one year internship, renewable by the end of each year. During this period the participant must take a leave of absence from his/her institution and join one of the IIP research groups.

Candidates who are not allowed to take a longer leave from their institutions can opt to have shorter internship periods. In this modality the student will conclude his post-doc in a longer time, but will take leaves of 4 or 6 months, for example.

Interested ones must send a copy of their research project, CV, list of publications and, if possible, two recommendation letters. The requests will be judged in a continuum flow. All documents should be sent through the email posdocbrasil@iip.ufrn.br.
